a little bit o'' this & a little bit o''that.
Drum roll please

In doing a little research, I have come to a rather humorous conclusion/answer. What if
everyone just “wrote in” a candidate? It seems, America is tossed on who to vote for, because
neither opponent is who America wants in office. It has become very clear that when it comes
down to it, we are just settling? For the most part, we are in a position where we have no
alternatives other then getting what we get, or is there? Come this November, what if everyone
made a stand and voted for...whomever”? Yourself, your neighbor, friend, family, idol. What will
it really matter? I am sure this is an unrealistic idea and would never work, but wouldn’t that be
a hoot to see the outcome if something like this would happen?
Each & every election year we get someone in office and then within months we are
complaining about the job they are doing. Complaining that they are just “Politicians” and not
keeping promises and so on. I myself try to keep in mind a few things before I start bashing our
president. One, they do not hold all the keys, decisions, or have all the answers. They do indeed
have to answer to more then just their public. Two, the president before him and before him, had
already set many of the gears in motion and the new president is picking up what was left
behind, either to finish or undo.
The public has become very nonchalant about concerning themselves with change, yet we are
“the people”. They want it, but yet are afraid to demand it. If the people realized that we have
more say then we are led to believe, we really could change the predicted outcome of any election.
I have played with the idea of voting in Joe Walsh, but that being a little less feasible I would be
more apt to write in someone who does have some “political” background, like Jesse Ventura or
someone.
No matter what happens and who you decide to vote for it will come down to the same
outcome; our country is falling apart at the seams. I do not know if any of us are strong enough
to fix it. There still is hope, stronger voices banding together and agreeing on at least one thing.
All of the parties, and all of the people, for once, agree to agree on this one, we need another
strong candidate to overcome and conquer the damage that has been done to Our Great Land.
